Client ServicesCrisis Hotline – Crisis hotline staffed 24 hours by a trained crisis individual available to assist with resources needed, formulating a safety plan and transition to a safer environment.
SAFE Program - Support, Apparel, Food and Emergency sheltering to women and children. Victims of any type of domestic violence can receive assistance from this program. Those seeking emergency sheltering must follow the guidelines in the Resident Handbook.
GED Program - Assist clientsin obtaining their GED. This program can be done online or at West Georgia Technical College. The requirement is active participation.
Continuing Education – Assisting residents with continuing education through a college certificate or in the enrollment in a degree program. Participant must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
Parenting Program – Classes equip residents with effective parenting skills through individual or group sessions. Active participation and completion of homework is required of residents.
Support Group – A women’s support group meets off site weekly to discuss traumatic experiences in their lives that have led them to this point. These sessions are lead by a licensed counselor.
Financial Management Program – Classes are available to assist residents on develop a personal financial plan. Their personal plan helps provide specific steps to get out of debt, re-establish credit, and live on a budget. Active participation and completion of homework is required.
Life skills – We focus on nutrition, house keeping, medication, job interviewing, personal relations, accepting responsibility, etc. Active participation and completion of homework is required. Legal Advocacy – In addition to basic legal assistance, we offer services of a well-qualified legal advocate at no cost to the client. |
